Why a Canva code stops scanning

Canva makes real QR codes. The trouble usually starts after the code is placed. It gets shrunk to fit a corner, recolored to match the brand, set on a photo, or framed with a border that touches the pattern. If the link changed after export, the picture still holds the old address.

FixQR works on the exported file. Set the destination, place a new code over the old one, and FixQR reads the finished picture before it offers download. FixQR is not affiliated with Canva.

Questions

Why does my Canva QR code not scan after printing?

Most often it is printed too small for the distance, or the colors give too little contrast. Make it at least 2 cm (0.8 in) wide on a handheld flyer, dark on light, with a blank margin around it.

Do I have to edit the design in Canva again?

No. Upload the exported PNG or JPG and replace the code there. The rest of the design stays as it is.

Can I fix a Canva PDF?

Download the design from Canva as a PNG or JPG first. FixQR works with PNG, JPG, WEBP, and SVG files.
